R - Vision (for Life)

Our vision is for the Lord to build us together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.

To continuously grow in our commitment to the Lord and put our marriage first, above all else; rooting the foundation of our family in Truth, producing the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, meekness, faithfulness, gentleness and discipline; and steadfast in prayer. To equip our household for prosperity—spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally. We hope to actively walk in a way that is an example for others, draws people closer to Christ, and builds community.

Foundational verse

Ephesians 2:21-22 – “In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too (two) are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.”

R - Commitment to Financial Freedom

Our commitment is to be servants of the Lord, honoring Him with our wealth.  We will be financially debt free, give as the Lord leads, have flexible spending (travel, leisure, etc) and invest in a way that builds wealth from our wealth and wealth for our children.  We will exercise discernment, seek financial advice and build our families’ financial education.

Foundational verse

1 Timothy 6:17-19 – “Command those (us) who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their (our) hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their (our) hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them (us) to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they (we) will lay up treasure for themselves (ourselves) as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they (we) may take hold of the life that is truly Life.”

Financial Educational Keys

This is our financial A.I.D. -
  • Advice:  Proverbs 15:22 – “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they (we) succeed.”
  • Inheritance / Intention:  Proverbs 13:22 – “A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.”
  • Diligence:  Proverbs 10:4 - “Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.”

R - Commitment to Giving

We support ministries (with our time, resources, and talents) that are aligned with our values and convictions, thus, we are committed to supporting organizations:
  • bringing young people of color, specifically Black men, to Christ, transforming them through the Spirit and encouraging their increased relationship with the Father.
  • increasing Christian leadership in ministry and marketplace through training, discipleship and evangelism.
  • including our church home and their contributions to our local communities.
